Site Settings

The WordPress Security page in Varsuite Core provides a clear and actionable overview of all detected vulnerabilities across your WordPress site.

Site Settings

The Site Settings page is where you manage key configuration options for an individual site connected to your VS-Core dashboard. These settings are scoped per site, allowing you to tailor how we monitor and interact with each domain independently.

Note: Changes made here affect only the selected site. They do not impact any other domains under your VS-Core account.

Overview

Each site in your dashboard has its own configurable settings that provide clarity, automation, and personalisation. Whether you need to adjust the platform type, leave internal notes for your team or confirm a domain association, this is the central hub to manage it.

Editable Fields

➤ Domain

  • This is the current domain linked to the site.

  • This value is automatically updated when the site changes its URL or location. There is no need to manually change it unless you're performing advanced configurations.

  • This field is read-only by default to prevent accidental changes.

➤ Type

  • Reflects the platform technology in use (e.g., WordPress, Laravel).

  • This helps our system ensure relevant monitoring and scanning tools are used, such as plugin scanning for WordPress sites or route monitoring for Laravel apps.

  • You may manually select a platform or click the "Regenerate" button to let VS-Core automatically detect the correct platform based on the site’s response.

➤ Notes

  • A free-text field where you can leave any information relevant to the site.

  • Ideal for keeping track of changes, responsibilities, or reminders across teams.

  • Only visible to users with access to your dashboard and not surfaced in reports or scans.

Actions

Regenerate Platform Sync Key

  • Clicking the regenerate icon next to the "Type" field triggers an auto-detection process and generates a new platform key.

  • This is useful if the platform has changed (e.g., from WordPress to Laravel) or if detection failed during onboarding.

Save

  • Don’t forget to click Save to apply any changes.

  • Changes take immediate effect and are logged internally.

Security Notice

  • While the domain is public, internal notes and platform type data are only accessible to authorised team members within your VS-Core account.

  • Do not include sensitive credentials in the Notes field.

What This Page Does Not Control

To avoid confusion, here’s what the Site Settings page does not impact:

  • It does not change or override global settings across your Varesuite Core dashboard.

  • It does not affect billing or subscription plans (handled separately under Billing).

  • It does not push changes to your actual website or server (all settings are internal to the platform).

Summary

The Site Settings page is your go-to location for managing metadata and behaviour per site. It’s designed to be minimal but powerful, giving you control over domain verification, platform accuracy and internal communication all within a few clicks.

By tailoring these settings, you ensure more accurate scans, more relevant reports, and smoother internal collaboration.
