Install on WordPress

To connect a WordPress website to the Varsuite Core platform, enable centralised management, monitoring and automation, follow the steps below. This guide will walk you through downloading and install

Step 1: Download the Plugin

You can manually download the WordPress plugin package from the following official link:

If you’re using a Laravel site instead, download the appropriate package from and view the documentation for Laravel / Statamic

Step 2: Install the Plugin in WordPress

  1. Log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.

  2. Go to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin.

  3. Upload the .zip file you downloaded in Step 1.

  4. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin once installation is complete.


Step 3: Access the Plugin Settings

After activation, the plugin (named Varsuite Core) will appear in your plugins list. You can access the plugin settings in one of two ways:

  • Click “Settings” directly from the plugins list.

  • Or go to Tools > Varsuite Core in the left-hand menu.

Either method will take you to the Varsuite Core plugin configuration page.


Step 4: Generate and Sync Your Site Key

  1. On the plugin settings page, you’ll see a prompt asking for your Site Key.

  2. To generate this, log in to your Varsuite Core Dashboard:

  3. Click “Add Site” and follow the steps to generate a unique Site Sync Key for the WordPress site you’re connecting.

  4. Copy the generated Site Key.


Step 5: Enter the Site Key in WordPress

  1. Return to the WordPress admin panel.

  2. Paste the Site Key into the box labelled “Site Key” on the Varsuite Core plugin page.

  3. Click the “Sync Website” button.

This process may take a short time. Once complete, you’ll receive confirmation that the website is now connected to the Varsuite Core network.


Step 6: Check Varsuite Core for Site Data

After syncing:

  • Return to your Varsuite Core dashboard.

  • Within a few minutes, your connected site will begin to populate with:

    • Installed plugins

    • Active themes

    • Registered users

    • Available updates

    • WordPress version and core settings


Step 7: Configure Backups

To ensure your site is properly backed up:

  1. In the Varsuite Core dashboard, navigate to the Backups page.

  2. Configure your backup schedule, retention period, and storage preferences.
