System Requirements

To ensure full compatibility with our internal tools and monitoring services all client websites must meet the following minimum system requirements:

PHP Version

  • Required: PHP 8.0 or higher

  • Sites running below PHP 8.0 will not be supported or monitored by our systems.

  • We strongly recommend keeping PHP up to date to benefit from the latest security patches and performance improvements.

  • SSL must be enabled on the site.

Operating System Compatibility

  • Fully compatible with websites hosted on Linux and Windows servers.

  • This includes:

    • Shared hosting

    • Dedicated servers

    • Cloud-hosted environments

  • The PHP requirement must still be met.

Virtualised Environments

  • Fully supported in virtualised and containerised environments, such as:

    • Docker

    • KVM

    • LXC

    • VPS/cloud hosting (e.g. AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner)

Firewall, CDN, and Hosting Considerations

If you experience any connection issues during setup or ongoing monitoring:

  • Please ensure the following IP addresses are whitelisted in your:

    • Server firewall

    • Cloudflare settings

    • Hosting provider’s security tools

⚠️ Open a Support Ticket if you're unsure which IPs to whitelist.

  • If your server filters traffic based on user agents, ensure the following is whitelisted:

    • User Agent: Varsuite Core - https://vs-core.com

Failing to whitelist these may result in:

  • Blocked monitoring

  • Delayed alerts

  • Incomplete reports

Network Access

  • Your WordPress installation must allow outbound HTTP/HTTPS connections.

  • These are required for communication with:

    • External APIs

    • Monitoring systems

    • Security services

Action Scheduler / WP-Cron Requirements

  • For Varsuite Core to function correctly, your WordPress website must support Action Scheduler (also known as WP-Cron).

  • These are essential for features such as:

    • Automated backups

    • Monitoring checks

    • Security scans

    • Plugin and core update checks

⚠️ As a precaution, we bundle support for this into our plugin but we strongly recommend verifying that scheduled tasks are working reliably on your server.

If your site uses disabled WP-Cron or an alternative cron setup, ensure it is correctly configured to run regularly.

Additional Notes

  • It is essential that all WordPress sites we manage remain up to date, including:

    • WordPress core

    • Plugins

    • Themes

  • Sites not meeting the above criteria may not be eligible for full support or security coverage under our management plans.

Meeting these requirements ensures your website can be properly managed, secured, and monitored by Varsuite Core LTD using our advanced toolset. If you're unsure about any of the above, please contact our support team for assistance.
